This contest was organized by Istoreto (Istituto Piemontese per la Storia della Resistenza e della Società Contemporanea "Giorgio Agosti"). Participants were tasked with creating a short comic story, limited to just five artboards, and crafting an original narrative about the Italian Resistance during World War II. Both the genre and artistic technique were left entirely to our discretion.
i didn't win.
The idea was to create a fantasy story centered on the extraordinary bond between two people who met as children. Blending comedy with drama, each artboard had its own distinct style, color palette, and mood.
trying to fit a whole story in five artboards was a challenge. This was supposed to eventually become a published book but highschool exams got the better of me.
